Kites for Hope Project
Overview
The Kites for Hope Project introduces age appropriate lessons and activities about the genocide being committed in Gaza emphasizing the dangers of hatred, complacency, and indifference.
This program is designed to cultivate empathy and tolerance thus upholding the No Place for Hate policies enacted by many school districts for several communities since its inception. Through sharing real life and current event stories from survivors and victims from Gaza to the West Bank, we hope to enable students from all backgrounds to build empathy and relate with those living through the unbearable losses of their loved ones and destruction of their schools, places of worship, and life as they know it. Our goal is for students to gain an understanding of how racism, stereotyping, bullying and especially silence can lead to and support systemic injustices.
